about

Bad Luck sculpted the music for THREE while touring and performing over the last couple of years. Many of the songs emerged during long stints on the road together. Holding steady to the artistic integrity of their previous records, Bad Luck (2009), Two (2011) and the Bloodroot EP (2012) Bad Luck performs music only possible with these two musicians in a room together. But THREE also marks a bit of an artistic departure. The album includes far more grooves and a more streamlined approach to their writing. Bad Luck is known for their high-energy shows, and THREE captures that spirit spot-on.

THREE was recorded live to tape and includes Bad Luck's first cover, a rendering of saxophonist Roscoe Mitchell's storied composition Nonaah.

about

Bad Luck Seattle, Washington

Bad Luck performs in another cosmos from most bands. With more than a decade of collaboration, Neil Welch (saxophone + live electronics) and Christopher Icasiano (drums) “bear down on you like a cyclone of fire” (The Stranger). Based out of Seattle, Bad Luck is a genre-defying supernova of electronics, metal, folk and jazz. ... more
